We're in the midst of a serious cold snap. This morning it got down to 23 degrees F. and the plants in the greenhouse look perfectly happy. I picked about a pint of ripe tomatoes this afternoon.
It's 10:00 at night and the temperature is already down to 21 degrees. We'll see how the plants in the greenhouse fare in a sustained period of well-below freezing temps. I have my fingers crossed. It was a sunny day, so the water-filled, black-painted milk jugs had an opportunity to collect heat. The last cold snap was very overcast, but it wasn't this cold.
I'm thinking warm thoughts.
